Verse 29 from surah Al-Baqarah

﴿هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُم مَّا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ﴾
[ البقرة: 29]

وہی تو ہے جس نے سب چیزیں جو زمین میں ہیں تمہارے لیے پیدا کیں پھر آسمان کی طرف متوجہ ہوا تو ان کو ٹھیک سات آسمان بنا دیا اور وہ ہر چیز سے خبردار ہے

Surah Al-Baqarah Full Urdu

(1) اس سے استدلال کیا گیا ہے کہ زمین کی اشیاء مخلوقہ کے لئے (اصل) حلت ہے۔ الا یہ کہ کسی چیز کی حرمت نص سے ثابت ہو (فتح القدیر)
(2) بعض سلف امت نے اس کا ترجمہ ”پھر آسمان کی طرف چڑھ گیا“ کیا ہے (صحیح بخاری) اللہ تعالیٰ کا آسمانوں کے اوپر عرش پر چڑھنا اور خاص خاص مواقع پر آسمان دنیا پر نزول، اللہ کی صفات میں سے ہے، جن پر اسی طرح بغیر تاویل کے ایمان رکھنا ضروری ہے۔ جس طرح قرآن یا احادیث میں بیان کی گئی ہیں۔
(3) اس سے ایک تو یہ معلوم ہوا کہ (آسمان) ایک حسی وجود اور حقیقت ہے۔ محض بلندی کو سماء سے تعبیر نہیں کیا گیا ہے۔ دوسری بات یہ معلوم ہوئی کہ ان کی تعداد سات ہے۔ اور حدیث کے مطابق دو آسمانوں کے درمیان سال کی مسافت ہے۔ اور زمین کی بابت قرآن کریم میں ہے «وَمِنَ الأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ» (الطلاق:12) ”اور زمین بھی آسمان کی مثل ہیں“ اس سے زمین کی تعداد بھی سات ہی معلوم ہوتی ہے جس کی مزید تائید حدیث نبوی سے ہوجاتی ہے : «مَنْ أَخَذَ شِبْرًا مِنْ الأَرْضِ ظُلْمًا، فَإِنَّهُ يُطَوَّقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ مِنْ سَبْعِ أَرْضِينَ» (صحيح بخاري، بدء الخلق ما جاء في سبع أرضين) ”جس نے ظلماً کسی کی ایک بالشت زمین لے لی تو اللہ تعالیٰ اسے قیامت کے دن ساتوں زمینوں کا طوق پہنائے گا۔“ اس آیت سے یہ بھی معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ آسمان سے پہلے زمین کی تخلیق ہوئی ہے۔ لیکن سورہ نازعات میں آسمان کے ذکر کے بعد فرمایا گیا ہے۔ «وَالأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ دَحَاهَا» ”زمین کو اس کے بعد بچھایا“ اس کی توجیہ یہ کی گئی ہے کہ تخلیق پہلے زمین ہی کی ہوئی ہے اور دَحْوٌ (صاف اور ہموار کرکے بچھانا) تخلیق سے مختلف چیز ہے جو آسمان کی تخلیق کے بعد عمل میں آیا۔ (فتح القدیر)

وہی تو ہے، جس نے تمہارے لیے زمین کی ساری چیزیں پید ا کیں، پھر اوپر کی طرف توجہ فرمائی اور سات آسمان استوار کیے اور وہ ہر چیز کا علم رکھنے والا ہے

Tafseer Tafheem-ul-Quran by Syed Abu-al-A'la Maududi

(2:29) He it is Who created for you all that there is on the Earth; He then turned to the sky and ordered it into seven heavens*34 . And He has full knowledge of everything*35 .

It is He who created for you all of that which is meaning

*34). It is difficult to explain precisely what is meant by the 'seven heavens'. In all ages man has tried, with the help of observation and speculation, to conceptualize the 'heavens', i.e. that which lies beyond and above the earth. As we well know, the concepts that have thus developed have constantantly changed. Hence it would be improper to tie the meaning of these words of the Qur'an to any one of these numerous concepts. What might be broadly inferred from this statement is that either God has divided the universe beyond the earth into seven distinct spheres, or that this earth is located in that part of the universe which consists of seven different spheres.
*35). In this sentence attention is drawn to two important facts. First, man is warned against disbelief and rebellion against God, for God knows all that man does and none of his actions are hidden from Him. Second, it is suggested to man that if he turns away from the All-Knowing God, from the One Who is the source of all knowledge, this can only leave him grouping in the darkness of ignorance and error. When there is no source of truth knowledge except God, and when that very light which alone can illuminate man's life can be obtained from none else but Him, what good can come out of deviation from the Truth?

Huwa allathee khalaqa lakum ma fee alardi jameeAAan thumma istawa ila alssamai fasawwahunna sabAAa samawatin wahuwa bikulli shayin AAaleemun

English - Sahih International

It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.

Quran Hindi translation

वही तो वह (खुदा) है जिसने तुम्हारे (नफ़े) के ज़मीन की कुल चीज़ों को पैदा किया फिर आसमान (के बनाने) की तरफ़ मुतावज्जेह हुआ तो सात आसमान हमवार (व मुसतहकम) बना दिए और वह (खुदा) हर चीज़ से (खूब) वाक़िफ है

তিনিই সে সত্ত্বা যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদের জন্য যা কিছু জমীনে রয়েছে সে সমস্ত। তারপর তিনি মনোসংযোগ করেছেন আকাশের প্রতি। বস্তুতঃ তিনি তৈরী করেছেন সাত আসমান। আর আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে অবহিত।
