🗺️ A few months ago I was driving to Logan Airport in Boston, using my Apple Watch to navigate. Anyone who's driven in Boston (or any city) knows how frustrating it can be to miss a turn because you can't safely look at your screen in time. ❌ The watch was pretty convenient, except every time I glanced at the screen on my wrist, the directions we're perpendicular. So I either had to rotate the image in my mind, or take my hand off the wheel to hold the watch in front of me. Both ways took my attention away from the road and made me a more distracted driver. ✈️ I ended up missing right past a crucial turn that set me back 30 minutes and caused me to miss my flight. I probably should've given myself more time regardless, but that's not the message of this story.⌚️ After that experience, I set out to build Hands On Navigation, a new navigation app for Apple Watch that aligns with your vision. Once you calibrate, it uses the watch sensors to dynamically rotate the screen with your hand movements.
